Company Reaffirms Commitment to Client Service Excellence as It Shifts Into Next Growth Phase
(CHICAGO)—Elements Global Services, the global human resources technology provider and pioneer of the direct Employer of Record (EOR) model, is cementing its commitment to growth and innovation as it re-establishes Chicago as the home of its global headquarters with the opening of its new office.
The office, located at the One North Franklin building in the city’s Loop downtown business district, marks a return to the city in which Elements was founded. Founder and CEO Rick Hammell – a Chicagoland native – announced that the state-of-the-art office signals the company’s faith in Chicago’s position as a hub for international business and innovation.
The company’s current global headquarters in Barcelona, Spain, will evolve to become the Regional HQ for its operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Elements currently has 235 internal employees companywide with offices in 18 countries and a presence supporting their clients in well over 135 countries.
“I am thrilled to bring Elements back to Chicago, my hometown and the city where I founded the company in 2015,” said Hammell. “U.S.-based clients currently account for about 73% of our client base. As a company dedicated to being where its clients are and need us to be, Chicago is ideally positioned to allow us to better service our clients as we evolve our offerings and services.”
The office is designed to accommodate the fundamental changes in the way business is done brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. With socially distant workstations throughout, as well as meeting spaces and connectivity features that facilitate cross-channel collaboration, the space was built with the safety and comfort of Elements’ employees in mind.
“Elements’ office opening is a testament to Chicago’s leading status as a global hub for tech and innovation,” said Michael Fassnacht, Interim CEO & President, World Business Chicago. “International companies continue to choose Chicago for their U.S. operations and headquarters, and we look forward to working with founder and CEO, Rick Hammell, and his team, as they position the company for growth and success in Chicago.”
At 14,000 square feet, the new office has a capacity to eventually house 125 employees. As Elements continues to expand its national and international footprint, the company is actively hiring and hopes to bring on at least 35 new Chicago-based employees. In-person work is expected to resume in the Chicago office as soon as May.
